Poetry Today

My Love Is An Anthem

June 10, 2019 ParagonwordsLeave a comment

My love is an anthem

Blooming red behind my rib cage

A pulsing of uncertainty

Echoing that humanity

Is cruel

That no one listen

To the vail of silence

Splitting the earth

Wide open

Grief stricken and tired

We blame the past

And damned the futureΒ©
