Betrayal, the final blow

Walk away
Without looking back
Leave a trail
Of brokenness
In the aftermath
Of your betrayal

I will let you walk
Into the heart of darkness
There you will stay
Carrying your destiny
Tied to your callous heart

Go away from me
Let not my eyes
See your face
Our story is over
My hands are washed
Cleaned

Final sentiments
Written in blood
The gift of knowledge
The power in knowing
When to let go
Is right now

Walk away this day
We are no longer joined
A broken union
A chapter ending
Wasted gift, signed, sealed
And discarded

Who Are You Really?

Sometimes I glimpsed
into the heart of the man
you’ve made yourself to be
and found hiding beneath
the darkness
traces of who you really are
Sad images, bound by circumstances
living a lie
extravagant and beautiful
the outside appeared
yet on the inside
a torn heart held
broken promises
dormant and alone
hiding in the shadows
of a deranged soul

Consider how dull life would be,

The same things,
