Poetry Today

Apple Blossoms

I’ve loved you

Ever since the Apple Trees

Blossomed

And the smell filled me

Up

With a deep longing

To hold You

To kiss every line

on your ambrosial

Face

There’s no more

Space

In me

I’m no longer my own

Self

Love buried in a field of

Apples

Your eyes

Supine

Begging the heavens

To let this moment

last

Forever
