When Beauty Fades

large

When beauty

Slowly fades

And time

Unforgiving

Takes all

Leaving behind

Callous hands

filled with dust

And the remnants

of dead desires

When feet

Laden with burdens

walk the bitter streets

And painted skin

Of Amber and Starlight

withered away

Your soul

Dancing atop beads

of Jasper

Atop glacier filled mountains

Your eyes bursting like limelight

Beneath the glorious sun

Even then

You remain

An eloquent song©
